Hobby X March 2018

Hobby X is my favourite Expo! I get to buy fabulous crafting magazines for a fraction of the normal price - they are back issues, but at only R30 instead of nearly R200 a copy you understand it is perfect.

Then, of course, you can take advantage of the special offers from the other vendors. I love paper and so spend a lot of time searching the racks for a lovely piece of scrapping paper.

My haul from Hobby X
As I went up and down the aisles there were lots of interesting workshops happening on the stands which I loved. I didn't pre-plan my visit properly so wasn't able to participate which was a pity, I would have loved to do the jewellery making course for something different to what I usually do.

I stopped and chatted with the ladies at the Scrapbook Direct to find out what they have, they shared this:

There were also demonstrations to watch and was interested to see a tray being decorated with  Sharpie pens. These can be used on mugs as well which is quite fun.

Using the bunny as a template, the design was being put on the tray
But it wasn't all pen and paper at Hobby X, there were loads of hobbies from paintball, railways, the Meccano Hobbyists Club, patchwork quilting, model aircraft and so much more. One stand that I will inform Christmas presents this year was Aurora Glycerine Soaps where you can purchase the products from them and package as you wish.

Can't wait for next year!
